Various Streets Overlay and Rehabilitation Project
City of Burbank

This project consisted of rehabilitation and grind and pave RHMA, slurry seal, sidewalk, driveways, ADA ramps, median, electrical, striping and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, taking photos daily, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Beverly Boulevard Rehabilitation Project
City of Whittier

This Federally-Funded project consisted of removal and placement of PCC pavement, slurry seal, raised median, pedestrian crossing, street lighting, electrical, sidewalk, ADA ramps, striping, and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, daily photos, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures with residents and businesses, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Alondra Boulevard Rehabilitation Project
City of Norwalk

This Federally-Funded project consisted of widening four lanes between Shoemaker and Pioneer including grind and pave RHMA, slurry seal, sidewalk, driveways, ADA ramps, median, electrical, striping and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, taking photos daily, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Firestone Blvd. Bridge Replacement Project
Cities of Norwalk and Downey

This Federally-Funded project consisted of demolition and replacement of the bridge, HMA, slurry seal, sidewalk, curb and gutter, electrical, fiber op., traffic control, water/sewer line, striping, SWPPP, and safety. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, daily photos, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures with residents and businesses, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Woollomes Ave /SR-99 Interchange Improvements
City of Delano

This Federally-Funded project consisted of bridge widening, retaining walls, HMA paving, slurry seal, driveways, ADA ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter, drainage, electrical, metering, signals, striping, and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, daily photos, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures with residents and businesses, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

NB Jamboree Over SR-73 Widening Project
City of Newport Beach

This Federally-Funded project consisted of bridge widening, retaining walls, HMA paving, slurry seal, driveways, ADA ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter, drainage, electrical, metering, signals, striping, and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, daily photos, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures with residents and businesses, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

60/91/215 Interchange Design-Sequencing Project
Caltrans District 8

This unique Design-Sequencing Project consisted of Resident Engineering and Inspection for the widening of the existing freeway, demolition and reconstruction of bridges, construction and relocation of various utilities, construction of various drainage structures, grading and earthwork, PCC and AC pavement, retaining wall structures, soil nail walls, and soundwalls. Work also included coordination of all work, office engineering, and negotiate and settle claims.

I-710/Firestone Interchange Project
City of Southgate

This Federally-Funded project consisted of full construction management including Resident Engineering and inspection of all contractor work. Work included clearing and grubbing, minor and structural concrete, AC paving, drainage, grading, construction and relocation of utilities, coordination with residents and businesses, materials testing, surveying, RFI's, negotiate change orders, and as-builts.

Del Amo Ave /I-405 Overcrossing Project
City of Carson

The Federally-Funded project consists of providing construction management services including Resident Engineer, Structures Rep, Office Engineer, and Inspectors on constructing a bridge over the Macco Channel and I-405. Work also included minor and structural concrete, AC paving, utilities, drainage, electrical, signalization, and sewer and water lines.

I-15 / El Cerrito Interchange Improvements Project
City of Corona

This Federally-Funded project includes widening to four lanes between the southbound off ramp and the northbound on ramp with Caltrans right of way. Responsible for the construction management and supervision of inspection for engineering services including contract administration, construction management and inspection services. Coordinate with the City of Corona, Caltrans the designer, SCE, CHP, Local Enforcement and Traffic Management Center for Caltrans and the local water company. Work also includes coordination of surveying and materials testing.

SR-60 Median Widening Project
Caltrans District 8

This project consisted of widening the median area and constructing a median barrier and sound-walls for 11 miles on SR-60 in Riverside. Responsible for checking plans, specifications and estimates and monitoring daily project tasks and personnel. Work includes bridge and roadway widening, sound-walls, retaining walls, drainage system, traffic coordination, SWPPP, paving, electrical work, signing and striping. Duties include change orders, performing general inspection, reviewing progress payments, coordinating with the City, Caltrans and the contractor. Assist structures personnel with coordinating work, resolving issues and writing CCO's and correspondence.

I-10/SR-215 Seismic Retrofit Interchange Project
Caltrans District 8

This project consisted of constructing outriggers and structural boxes below the existing interchange for protection against any seismic activities on the interchange. This project was mainly in the Santa Ana river bed in an Environmentally Sensitive Area where water is constantly flowing. Responsible for construction contract administration; preparing and checking designs, plans, specifications and estimates; inspecting and testing; collecting office and field data and preparing reports with recommendations on wide variety of civil engineering matters. The work entails review of all submittals, CCO's, RFI's and change of scope. Also responsible for field inspection and office procedures for the contract administration. assisted structures personnel with coordinating work, resolving issues and writing CCO's and correspondence. This Project received the 2005 Project of the Year Award, presented by APWA, Southern California Chapter.
 

On-Call CM and Inspection Services
Caltrans Districts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

FCG is providing CM & Inspection services to Caltrans Districts 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 Construction Division including but not limited to Construction Management, Inspection, and Office Engineering of Highway, Freeway, and Bridge Construction. FCG staff will work directly under the supervision of Caltrans Supervising Seniors and Resident Engineers and will perform the work in accordance with specific Contract Special Provisions, Contract Plans, Caltrans Standard Specifications, Caltrans Standard Plans, Construction Manual, Office of Structures Manual, SWPPP Manual, Highway Safety Manual, and Traffic Control Manual.

FCG staff will work directly under the supervision of Caltrans Supervising Seniors and Resident Engineers and will perform the work in accordance with specific Contract Special Provisions, Contract Plans, Caltrans Standard Specifications, Caltrans Standard Plans, Construction Manual, Office of Structures Manual, SWPPP Manual, Highway Safety Manual, and Traffic Control Manual.

FCG is providing On-Call CM & Inspection service to the Counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Cities of San Diego, Irvine, Whittier, Corona, La Mirada, Manhattan Beach, Fontana, Glendora, Culver City, Downey, Burbank, and Moorpark including but not limited to Project Management, Construction Management, Inspection, and Office Engineering on various types of construction projects. FCG staff will work directly under the supervision of the City Supervising Project Managers and will perform the work in accordance with specific Contract Special Provisions, Contract Plans, City Standards, Green Book, Caltrans Standard Specifications, and Caltrans Standard Plans.

Ramona Avenue Grade Separation Project
City of Montclair

This Federally-Funded project consisted of providing construction management services including Resident Engineer, Structures Rep, Office Engineer, and Inspectors on constructing a bridge over the UPRR tracks. Work also included minor and structural concrete, AC paving, utilities, drainage, electrical, signalization, and sewer and water lines.

Henry Ford Grade Separation Project
Alameda Corridor East

Responsible for overseeing contract administration, checked designs, plans, specifications and estimates, inspection and testing. Wrote CCO's, resolved claims and wrote claims reports. Project included installation of vibratory stone columns to prevent undue ground settlement and increase resistance prior to construction of MSE wall supporting Union Pacific rail lines.

Corona Drains Line 52 Project
City of Corona and Riverside County Flood Control

This City-Funded project consisted of construction of a concrete 52 Storm Drain Line, channel reconstruction, HMA paving, slurry seal, sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveways, electrical, and landscape. Duties included, but were not limited to, construction management and inspection of various items of work, office engineering, performing constructability and bid-ability reviews, attending pre-bid and weekly meetings, producing daily diaries and quantities, daily photos, coordinating materials sampling, testing and lane closures with residents and businesses, reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.

Lift Station 2 Pump Replacement Project
South Coast Water District, Laguna Beach

This project consisted of evaluation of pump replacement alternatives for District's largest 5 mgd sewer lift station , developing pump pre-purchase specifications and drawings, preparing engineer's construction cost estimate, developing sewage bypass plan, and design plans for installation of new pumps and new suction elbows and valves in existing wet well and dry well. Pump Alternative evaluation included dry pit submersible pumps, direct coupled pumps with immersible motors, and vertical non-clog with extended shaft and motors.

Various Sewer Pipeline Projects
City of Fountain Valley

This project consisted of providing constructability review of planned year two capital improvement project that consisted of approximately 4,000 feet of sewer lines ranging in diameter from 8 to 21 inches. The project also consisted of providing technical review for design team for design submittals and providing Quality Control / Quality Assurance for all design calculations, plans, specs, and cost estimates.

Pump Station Design Build Project
City of San Diego

This project consists of providing construction support services during the construction of the 50 mgd potable water pump station, including review of design revisions, resolution of construction conflicts, assistance in preparing and negotiating change orders, and troubleshooting with operational issues for pumps, valves, & controls. Work also included producing RFP's and assisting in selection of consultants.

Eucalyptus Booster Pump Station Project
City of Perris

This project consisted of providing technical review for design team for preliminary design report and design submittals as well as providing Quality Control / Quality Assurance for all design calculations, plans, specs, and construction estimates. Work also included full reporting and assessment of existing facilities.

Various Wastewater Facilities IDIQ Projects
Camp Pendleton

This project includes widening to four lanes between the southbound off ramp and the northbound on ramp with Caltrans right of way. Santa Ana Trunk Sewer Replacement Project
City of Riverside

Responsible for preparation of plans and specifications for the replacement of approximately 20,000 linear feet of 54-inch gravity sewer, that parallels the Santa Ana River. The Santa Ana Trunk Sewer is the main sewer that transports most of the City of Riverside wastewater into the City's Regional Water Quality Reclamation Plant at Van Burn Blvd. The project involved the preparation of a Mitigated Negative Declaration, Microtunneling, Jack/bore, and permitting with the RWQCB and the Corps of Engineers.

Washington Ave Sewer Lift Station Project
City of Lake Elsinore

Responsible for assisting with preparation and constructibility review of plans and specifications for the design and construction of a new 2.5 mgd sewer lift station and 1.5 mile force main in the Wildomar area of Riverside County. The project included preparation of planning study, Mitigated Negative Declaration, design plans / specifications, and construction management and inspection services for these facilities that had a construction value of approximately $6.5M.

Citywide Water Reuse Project
City of San Luis Obispo

Responsible for assisting in preparation of the City's Water Reuse Project Engineering Report for the City's Water Reuse Project. Also responsible for assisting in preparation of preliminary design report and constructibility review for the construction of approximately 14 miles of reclaimed water pipelines ranging in diameter from 6 to 20 inches, a 400-hp reclaimed water pump station, modifications to 14 City parks irrigation systems, and a chlorine contact tank / chemical feed system at the water reclamation facility. Estimated construction cost for proposed water reuse project is approximately $12,000,000.
